Wallace and Gromit (Wallace and Gromit) are two animated short and feature characters created by Nick Park. The Aardman Animations studio hired Nick Park in the 1980s to help edit and shoot its Wallace and Gromit films, in exchange for his expertise on other films[réf. nécessaire]. The Wallace and Gromit shorts follow the whimsical adventures of a cracker-and-cheese-loving inventor (Wallace) and his clever dog (Gromit). All characters are made of plastiline (non-drying plasticine), and scenes are animated frame by frame (stop motion). Using this method, Nick Park's team manages to record an average of 2 seconds of film in a day's work (at 24 frames/second). Often acclaimed by critics and awarded three Oscars for their inventiveness and humor, their success led to several short films, commercials and a feature film.
